Albert Thompson, son of Moses Thompson, who resides near the school house at the last bridge on the road going up to Wapsononock, in Logan township, was killed at Perry's water mill, Dean township, Cambria county on Tuesday. He was in the employ of Mr. Joseph Vanormer, who is extensively engaged in the logging business, and while cutting logs was struck by a tree felled by another workman and crushed to death. He was cutting down at tree, which fell and lodged. In his efforts to get out of the way he ran directly under the trunk, which had been pushed to one side. His remains were taken to his father's residence yesterday, from whence the interment will take place today. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Thursday, December 11, 1879
