Anna Elizabeth (Smith) Thompson 

Mrs. Anna Elizabeth (Smith) Thompson of 1316 Washington Avenue, Tyrone, Pa., 
died yesterday morning [October 7, 1944] at 8:10 o'clock in Mercy Hospital, 
Altoona, Pa. She was born in Tyrone, 4/3/1907, a daughter of Claude H. and 
Clara Louise (Chubb) Smith. Mrs. Thompson was married 7/12/1925 to Reuben 
Russell Thompson. Surviving are three daughters and one son, Mrs. Grover 
Bailey of Port Matilda; Thelma. Glenda, Lee and Alan, at home; three 
grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Smith of Tyrone, Pa.; George Smith of 
Pulaski, N.Y. and Richard in the Army; three sisters, Mrs. Stella Miles, Mrs. 
Melvin Lewis and Mrs. Glenn H. Weyer, all of Tyrone. Mrs. Thompson was member 
of the United Brethren Church, Tyrone, Pa. Friends will be received at the 
Glass Funeral Home after 7 o'clock this evening.
