THOMPSON Of 809 Twentieth street, died at his home at 10.25 o'clock last night after an illness of four years. He was born in Newry July 10, 1878, a son of John E. and Margaret (Yingling) Thompson, and was employed as a laborer at the Pennsylvania Electric company. He was twice married, his first wife, Carrie Bradley, dying in 1916. Surviving are his second wife, Henrietta (Carnell) Thompson, and the following children: Gerald J., Regis, Eugene, Miller, Mrs. Francis Eichenlaird and Mrs. Gertrude Wertz of Altoona; Eugene L. of Newry, Mrs. Margaret Brookbank of Portage; Lester of Ore Hill and Walter of Washington, Pa. He is also survived by one brother, Peter Thompson of Harrisburg and two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Eger and Mrs. Elizabeth Moses, both of Newry; 39 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
