Word was received here yesterday of the death of Frank G. Thompson, which occurred at his home in Pittsburg at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon, after a lingering illness, of a complication of diseases that baffled medical skill. Mr. Thompson was born in Juniata township, February 15, 1863, and grew to manhood on his father's farm, attending in the winter the schools of the township. Upon reaching manhood he took up school teaching and for several years was numbered among the foremost teachers of the county. In the early eighties he went to Pittsburg and entered the real estate business in which he was very successful. He was possessed of a bright, cheerful disposition and made friends easily. Surviving are his wife and two sons, Harold and Raymond, both of Pittsburg; also one brother, John A., of Newry. In the death of Mr. Thompson, the state loses a valuable citizen, the family a loving and devoted husband and father and his legion of friends a worthy companion. The funeral will take place in Pittsburg. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday Morning, February 15, 1917
