James Thompson, a former resident of Hollidaysburg, died in Davenport,
Iowa, on January 2, aged 68 years.  Deceased left this place in 1856.
He was president of the First National bank of Davenport until one
year ago when he was compelled to resign on account of ill health.
Mr. Thompson left an estate valued at $2,000,000.
