Things Briefly Told.

  John S. Thompson, of Martha Furnace, died on Tuesday evening at 7 
o'clock, and will be buried at 11 o'clock to-day.  He is the man who a 
few years since accidentally shot and killed a burglar, for which he 
has since suffered great remorse.
