LOUISE THOMPSON A former resident of Altoona and wife of William Thompson of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., died at her home at 9 o'clock last night. She was born in New Albany, Ind., on Feb. 1, 1891, a daughter of Charles M. and Eugenia F. (Blackwell) Russell, but resided in Altoona for a number of years prior to going to Saratoga Springs 14 years ago. While in Altoona Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. church and active in choir work. Surviving are her husband, one daughter and two sons, Mrs. Sarah Valvera of Saratoga Springs, Joseph Thompson of New York city, and Charles who was called home from army service in the South Pacific area by his mother's illness; one brother and one sister, Raymond Russell of Braddock and Mrs. Calvin B. Bell of Altoona, and two nieces, Mrs. Claudia Willis of the city and Mrs. Jane Tibba of New York city. Friends will be received at the Laughlin funeral home after 7 o'clock Thursday evening. THOMPSON - Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Thompson of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Laughlin funeral home by Rev. C. A. Bryant.
