Mrs. Mary Thompson, of 2706 West Chestnut avenue, died Wednesday morning at 9.15 o'clock, at Philadelphia. She was taken suddenly ill on July 16 and was removed to a Philadelphia hospital for treatment, which proved unavailing. The maiden name of the deceased was Johnson and she was aged about 40 years. Her mother died when she was young and she was reared by her aunt, Mrs. Peter Stiner, of Seventeenth street. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, William and Charles; also by her father, a resident of Foxburg, Clarion county; one sister, Mrs. Leisenring, of Northumberland, and three stepsisters, residing at Foxburg, Clarion county; one sister, Mrs. Leisenring, of Northumberland, and three stepsisters, residing at Foxburg. Mrs. Thompson was a woman of most lovely character, deeply religious and a loving and devoted mother. For many years she had been a member of the First Lutheran church, but on the organization of the Grace Lutheran church became a member of that congregation.
