L. Gardner, in Hollidaysburg, at 5:20 o'clock last evening, aged 89 years and 7 months. She was born in Scotch valley, June 28, 1803, and was the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth M. Stewart. She was married to Austin Thomson, of Avon, Conn., Oct. 13, 1825. One daughter, Mrs. Lucy T. Gardner, widow of Wm. H. Gardner, was born to them. Mr. and Mrs. Thomson removed to Hollidaysburg in 1870, where Mr. Thomson died in the same year. The grandchildren are: Austin L. Gardner, who died June, 1887; Authur L. Gardner, died June, 1865; Harry A. Gardner, cashier of Second National bank, Altoona; Nancy M. Gardner, died February, 1887; Osmond W. Gardner, cashier of the First National bank, Hollidaysburg; Sarah S. Gardner, living at home, and Wm. H. Gardner, private secretary to Supreme Court Judge Dean. The greatgrandchildren are Della and Frank O. Gardner. Mrs. Thomson was a member of the Presbyterian church for seventy-seven years, and was sincere and devout in her faith. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. D. H. Barron, D.D., at her late home, at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Interment in the Presbyterian cemetery.
