GEORGE D. TICE

Of 2426-4th Ave., died at 12:25 a.m. today in the Altoona Hospital, where 
he was admitted March 19, after an extended illness.  He was born at 
Howard on March 28, 1902, a son of Cyrus M. and Nora Belle (Shively) 
Tice, and on July 27, 1929, married Etta Geraldine Lantz.  Surviving are 
his wife, a son, Lt. Cmdr. George D. in the Navy at San Diego, Calif., 
and two brothers, Harry S. and Omar W. of Glen Burnie, Md.  Mr. Tice was 
a member of the Broad Avenue Presbyterian Church, Bellefonte Lodge, F&AM, 
Nittany Council, Bellefonte Commandery, Royal Arch Chapter, Altoona 
Consistory and Jaffa Shrine, and served as car distributor for the P.R.R. 
at Cresson.  Friends will be received in Hickey Funeral Home after 2 p.m 
Sunday.
