He was born in Hollidaysburg, Sept. 12, 1857, the son of Patrick and Bridget Tiernan, deceased, and had been a resident of Bloomington for a period of thirty-five years. He spent several months in Altoona visiting relatives and friends. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and is survived by these relatives: Mrs. Hiram Crumm, Patrick and Thomas Tiernan of this city. The remains will be brought to Altoona tomorrow morning at 2.12 a.m. and will be taken to the residence of Mrs. Crumm of 1112 Eighteenth street from which place funeral services will be held on Saturday morning with requiem mass in St. John's church, the cortege to leave the house at 8.45 o'clock.
