Tipton, a well known farmer about two miles west of Martinsburg, was stricken with paralysis. The attack was severe so much so that with the coming of the stroke he became unconscious and never rallied. Yesterday morning at 1.20 death claimed him. He was a son of George C. and Susanna Shoenfelt Tipton, both deceased, and was born December 6, 1861, being aged 55 years, 11 months and 3 days. The funeral will occur Sunday afternoon with services at 2 o'clock at the home conducted by Rev. W.W. Frey, pastor of the St. Matthew Lutheran church. Interment will be made in Fairview cemetery. Deceased is survived by his wife and two small children; also by three brothers: Jacob S. and William S. of this place, and John S. of Roaring Spring.
