All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ EDWARD BELL TIPTON, 53, of 112 Bishop Street, a veteran of the World War, died last evening in Memorial Hospital, where he became a patient Sunday. Born in Altoona, February 2, 1887, Mr. Tipton was a son of Howard and Anna (Hileman) Tipton. His wife, Mrs. Catherine (Clark) Tipton, died six years ago. During the World War Mr. Tipton served 22 months with the American Expeditionary Forces in France. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Alice Kirchner, 606 Grant Street; Mrs. Ella Short, 112 Bishop Street, and Mrs. Blanche Bowman, 311 Twelfth Street, Windber. The remains may be viewed at the John Henderson Company Funeral Home, Main Street. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Johnstown Tribune, Johnstown, Pa., Friday, November 1, 1940
