  Friday Mrs. Susan Tipton, widow of the late George Tipton, died at 
her home west of town, aged 72 years.  Her maiden name was Shoenfelt.  
She was born February, 1836.  She was preceded in death by her husband 
who died October 23, 1903.  Deceased is survived by four sons - John 
Tipton of Roaring Spring, Jacob, Albert and William, all of near this 
place.
  The funeral took place Monday morning at 10 o'clock.  Services were 
held at the house conducted by Rev. M. S. Sharp, pastor of St. Matthew 
Lutheran church, of which she was a member for many years.  At the 
close of the services the remains were conveyed to Fairview cemetery 
for interment.
