Mrs. Josephine Torrens,

Wife of James Torrens, died at her husband's residence, 422 Fifth
avenue, this morning at 7:20 o'clock, aged 37 years.  Besides her
husband she leaves six children, William, James, Howard, Mary, Nellie
and Lucy, all of whom reside at home.  She is also survived by her
father, Frank Howe, and three brothers, Frank, Lemuel and Peter Howe,
all residents of Mt. Holly, New Jersey.  The deceased was a most
excellent wife and mother and a sincere Christian.  Her husband and
her young family have the sympathy of the community.  The remains will
be taken to Philadelphia tomorrow night and from there to Mt. Holly,
where the interment will be made on Monday afternoon.
