Dean Cannon Traugh, widow of O. A. Traugh, died yesterday morning at 4:20 o'clock, of a complication of diseases incident to old age, at the residence of her son, Postmaster A. R. Traugh, on Garber street. Mrs. Traugh was born at the Summit, Cambria county, on December 4, 1827, and was aged nearly 90 years. Her husband, O. A. Traugh, one of the oldest and best known Democratic editors in the state, died in April, 1889, aged 80 years. He was the founder, owner and editor of the Hollidaysburg Standard since the year 1839, and was postmaster at Hollidaysburg for a number of years. Mrs. Traugh was a lifelong and consistent member of the Presbyterian church of this place, a zealous Christian worker and benevolent woman, who bore the esteem and love of the whole community. Her maiden name was Cannon and she resided in Blair county all her lifetime. She is survived by one son and one daughter, Postmaster A. R. Traugh, of Hollidaysburg, with whom she had been making her home for some time past, and Mrs. M. H. Cannon, of Baltimore, Md. The funeral services will be held at the home of her son on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Presbyterian cemetery.
