Treaster Former Tyrone School Board President Clay I. Treaster, 85, of Grazierville, R.D. 4, Tyrone, died Sunday, April 18, 1993, at 2:28 a.m. at the Tyrone Hospital. He had been in failing health for three years. He was born April 24, 1907, in Milroy, a son of Harold and Lola Phillips Treaster. He was married to Eva. M. Wierick on Nov. 5, 1930, at the United Brethren Church Parsonage, Tyrone, by the Reverend John R. Watson. He is survived by his wife, one son, Robert L. Treaster, at home, three sisters: Mrs. Eva Fullager, Mansfield, OH; Mrs. Naomi McNeal, Galion, OH; and Mrs. John (Olive) McCloskey, Tyrone. He was preceded in death by a son, Clay I. Treaster Jr.; also by a brother and three sisters. He was a 32 degree member of the Free and Accepted Masonic Lodge #495, Tyrone, a member of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine of North America, Jaffa Temple, Altoona, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Altoona, and the Altoona Shrine Club, where he was a Provost Guard and a Circus Daddy. He attended Christ United Methodist Church, Tyrone, was a former member and past President of the Tyrone Area School Board, served as Snyder Township Supervisor for 12 years, and was a Civil Defense Volunteer. He was an extra bus driver for the Tyrone School District for many years, a member of the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company, Tyrone, the Northern Blair County Sewer Authority, and served in Tyrone Troop B 104th Cavalry. He was also part owner of Bob'S Cradle Restaurant, Canoe Creek, from 1963 to 1978. He retired in 1969 as a paper maker at the West Virginia Pulp & Paper Co., Tyrone, following 45 years of service. Funeral services for Clay I. Treaster will be held Wednesday, April 21, 1993, at 2 p.m. at the Feller Memorial Home with the Reverend Neil R. Albright officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery, Tyrone, Pa. Friends will be received at the Feller Memorial Home on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m., where a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m., and on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service at 2 p.m. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., April 19, 1993
