A. Trout, died at her home in East Freedom, on Monday at 5.40 p.m. She was the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Bryan, and was born at Maria Forges, in this county about 49 years ago. She was the mother of nine children, four sons and five daughters. The former all died in infancy, but the five daughters, Mrs. Rudolph Moraht?, of Altoona; Mrs. David Robison, of Hollidaysburg; Lizzie, Grace and Mabel, at home, are living. One sister, Mrs. William F. Salter, of Washington, D.C., and four brothers, William H. and Milton J. Bryan, of Altoona; John and George, in the west, as well as her aged mother, also survive. A sufferer for several years, the deceased bore her sufferings with great fortitude; and though gradually fading out of life under the ravages of Bright's disease, and latterly, a cancerous tumor, she was still remarkable for great energy and patience. A devoted wife and mother, her loss to the family circle is such as only those who have met similar loss, can measure. The funeral will take place from the Lutheran church at East Freedom, of which she was a member, at 10.30 o'clock this morning, the interment to be at Newry. Altoona Tribune, June 6, 1900
