All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _______________________________________________ NELSON TRYMAN, A well known colored resident of Altoona and who, several years ago when the law requiring dogs within the city limits to be tagged was being enforced, had charge of the work of rounding up the untagged animals, died Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Altoona hospital. Death was due to pneumonia and he was taken to the hospital Friday afternoon from his home at 2310 Ninth avenue. He was born in West Virginia on Jan. 1, 1871, dying on the 50th anniversary of his birth. He had resided in this city for many years, and following his service with the government, became janitor at the Blumenthal apartments. He was a member of the First United Brethren church. He is survived by his wife, his mother, two sisters and a brother of Harrisburg, and a sister residing at Mt. Union. Funeral services will be conducted at the Bell A. M. E. Zion church tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, followed by interment in Oak Ridge cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Monday, January 3, 1921
