Uhl, age 93, of Tyrone and a guest at Epworth Manor died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at 7:30 a.m. at the Manor. She was born May 26, 1911 in Tyrone, the daughter of George Michael and Tillie Miller Christine. On April 3, 1929 she was married to Albert M. Uhl who preceded her in death in November 1981. She is survived by three daughters - Sylvia, wife of James Knepper, Shirleysburg; Beth Landis, Souderton and Alice Uhl, Orlando, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren and one sister, Tillie Brickley of Tyrone. She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. She was of the Protestant faith. She was a member of the Tyrone and Hollidaysburg Garden Club and was an avid traveler. She was a graduate of Tyrone High School. She and her late husband owned and operated Rudy's Confectionery Store at 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue for a number of years. There will be no public visitation. Private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with Michael Christine officiating. Interment will be made in Bald Eagle Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Epworth Manor Care Assurance Fund, 951 Washington Ave., Tyrone, Pa 16686. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richard H.
