She was born Jan. 11, 1931 in Altoona, PA, the daughter of Agnes Margaret (Egan) and Walter King White. Mrs. Umholtz had lived in Morocco, IN for several years and moved to Medaryville recently. She spent her early years in Pennsylvania. She married Leonard M. Umholtz on Jan. 22, 1947. He died Sept. 27, 1993. Mrs. Umholtz was educated in the Tyrone public schools and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Morocco. She belonged to the Extension Home Makers. She is survived by three daughters and one son: Rose Marie (Ronald) Dawson of Kentland, IN, Carol Lynn (Harry) Atkinson of Missouri, Shirley A. (Larry) Wilford of Medaryville, IN and Wallace (Cynthia) Umholtz of Altoona; 22 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters and brothers: Dorothy Varallo of Morocco, IN, Patty Walters, Marjorie White, both of Tyrone, Sharon White of Pennsylvania, Gary (Fran) White of Tyrone, Greg K. (Mary Lou) White and Jeffrey K. White, both of Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sons, one sister, one brother, one grandchild, two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Friends may call Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006 at the Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco, IN from 4 to 8 p.m. The time of the funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17 at the funeral home.
