Mrs. Mary, widow of the late Thomas Vail, who for many years occupied a home between this place and Bald Eagle Furnace, and from whom Vail station, at the junction of the Tyrone and Clearfield and Bald Eagle Valley railroads, takes its name, died at the home of her son Patrick, near Philipsburg, on Saturday evening last, at the advanced age of 82 years. Her husband departed this life some five years ago at the old homestead, near Vail station, since which time the mother and wife has made her home with her son Patrick. She was a good wife and good mother and an exemplary Christian. Her remains will be brought to this place to-day on the noon train and taken to St. Matthew's chapel, on Cameron avenue, where services will be held, after which interment will be made Oak Grove cemetery, and her remains will be placed beside those of her departed husband and others of her family.
