Van Derau, died at her home in Roaring Spring on Tuesday morning from pneumonia, following an attack of influenza. She was born in Roaring Spring on Jan. 19, 1902. She was a member of the Methodist church and Sunday school and was a faithful attendant at all meetings. A student of the borough High school, she was a member of the freshman class. She is survived by her parents, one sister, Mrs. Leotto Longenecker of Highlandtown, Sparrow's Point, Md., and two brothers, Vol at home at Stanley, now serving with the field artillery of the American army in France. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2.15 o'clock. Private services at her late home in charge of Rev. A. S. Williams of the Methodist church, interment will be made in Greelawn cemetery.
