Adam Vandreau.

  January 19, 1892, aged 69 years, 10 months and 19 days.  La grippe 
was the cause of his death.  He was a loving husband and an 
affectionate father and leaves a wife and eight children to mourn his 
loss: Mrs. Lydia, Rose, Mrs. Sarah Howbecker and Mrs. Martha Deitrich, 
of Washington county, Md.; Daniel Vandreau, Allegheny city; Mrs. Mary 
Kiser, Mrs. Jennie Blyer and Lilly Showalter, Altoona, and David 
Vandreau, who resides at home.  He was a consistent member of the 
Church of God.  Funeral from his late residence, High avenue and Third 
street, Fairview, on Friday afternoon at 2:30.  Interment in Fairview 
cemetery.
  He was the love light in the home
    From whence so much joy has fled,
  Alas for those who evermore
    Grieve for their loved one dead.
  'Tis not him you've laid away
    Beneath the cold, damp sod,
  For yonder in the realms of light
    He stands before his God.
