Vaughn, of 2018 Spruce avenue, died last evening at 9:05 o'clock, following an illness of ten days from the influenza. He was born in this city on September 28, 1876, the son of George H. and Anna Vaughn. He had been employed for many years by the Pennsylvania railroad company. He had also worked for several years at the Altoona Brick yards. He was one of the best known residents of the Twelfth ward, having endeared himself to a large circle of friends by his kindly and thoughtful regard for others. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church and is survived besides his aged parents by his wife, Mrs. Ollie B. Vaughn. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Attorney W. Frank Vaughn, Raymond, Mrs. Alice Sandrus and Miss Mary, all of this city. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Altoona Tribune, Saturday, February 8, 1919, page 10 FUNERAL NOTICE.
