All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _______________________________________________ HENRY HARRIS VAUGHN Henry Harris Vaughn, a well known and highly esteemed citizen, died suddenly, Saturday evening at 7.30 o'clock, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Cloyd D. Dickson, 1220 Spruce street, of apoplexy. Mr. Vaughn had not been in robust health for a score of years, but was always able to go about and do light work. He had made no remark about feeling better or worse, but without a second's warning, dropped over, and expired. Deceased was born near Howard, Centre county, April 21, 1851, and had spent most of his life in that county, residing for many years at Philipsburg. He came to Hollidaysburg a year ago to spend the declining years of his life with his daughter. He is survived by three children: Mrs. Effie Dickson, with whom he resided; George J. of Smoke Run and Harmon of Philipsburg. His wife preceded him in death a number of years ago. He is also survived by three brothers and three sisters as follows: Thomas, Daniel and David, of Sandy Ridge; Mrs. Margaret Stonebraker, Mrs. Sarah Stonebraker and Mrs. Belle Stullen, all of Philipsburg. Funeral services will be conducted at the Dickson home tomorrow afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, followed by interment in the Presbyterian cemetery. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Monday, December 2, 1918
