MRS. ELSIE VIPOND, 

Wife of Griffen B. Vipond of 413 Logan avenue, Lakemont, died at the 
home this morning at 1:30 o'clock of a cerebral hemorrhage.  She was 
born at Loop, a daughter of Martin L. and Elizabeth (Ullery) Wertz. 
Surviving are her husband, five children, Mrs. Leona Snowberger, Alfred 
Vipond and Mrs. Olive Aungst of Lakemont, Hobart of Bellwood and Mrs. 
Martha Stiffler of Altoona; twelve grandchildren, a brother, Harry 
Wertz of Loop, and a sister, Mrs. Gertis Fayad of Altoona.  Mrs. Vipond 
was a member of the Lakemont Methodist church.  Friends are being 
received at the Creamer & VanAllman funeral home, Hollidaysburg.
