Gladys E. Vipond 

  Mrs. Gladys E. Vipond, 90, a guest of Valley View Home, formerly of 
Bellwood and Tyrone went to be with the Lord Tuesday evening, September 
27, 2005. 
  She was born February 2, 1915 in La Jose, Clearfield County, a 
daughter of the late Joseph W. and Leona Mae (Walker) Pennington. On 
November 9, 1934 she married Howard Edward Vipond in Wellsburg, WV. He 
preceded her in death on November 10, 1977.
  Mrs. Vipond is survived by a daughter, Nancy Ann Turnbaugh and 
husband, Clair of Tyrone; granddaughter, Tammera A. Gondek and husband, 
Richard of Morrisdale; grandsons: Gary L. Turnbaugh and wife Maryanne 
of Boiling Springs, Craig A. Turnbaugh and wife Alverda of Denver and 
Chris Turnbaugh and wife Kathy of Altoona; great-grandchildren: Erin, 
Melanie, Nicholas, Adam and Abbey Turnbaugh; brother, Joseph W. 
Pennington of Altoona and sister, Madelene Hammaker of Ft. Lauderdale, 
Fl.
  She was a former member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church. 
  At the request of the deceased there will be no public viewing.
  Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. time of 
funeral service on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at the Jon C. Russin 
Funeral Home, Bellwood with Rev. Donna Vaux officiating.
  Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
