TYRONE.

  Mrs. Katharine Vogt, who was born in Bavaria, Germany, February 4, 1811, 
and emigrated to this country in 1852, celebrated her 78th birthday at the 
home of her son William, on Main street, where she has made her home for many 
years, on Monday last, the 4th.  She is a hale, hearty woman and bids fair to 
round out the century.  Some three or four years ago she had the misfortune 
to break a leg by making a misstep on the stairway during the night time, 
from which she has now fully recovered, and can get around as lively as many 
not half her age.  But two of her children are living, both of woman are 
prominent citizens of this town, Frederick and William Vogt, both of whom 
take great pride in seeing to it that mother's every want is fully satisfied 
and every wish granted.
