At Bellwood yesterday morning Mona Voksra, a Hungarian woman, was struck by an engine as she was walking along the tracks. She was brought to the Altoona hospital at 9.10 a.m. on a shifting engine and admitted for treatment. Her external injuries consisted of a fracture of the right forearm, a laceration of the left leg, a laceration of the scalp two inches long and scratches and bruises of the body that seemed to indicate that she had been dragged for a considerable distance. She had evidently sustained internal injuries of a more serious nature than those on the outside of her body. She was in a very disagreeable state of uncleanliness as if she had been tramping and had not had an opportunity to take advantage of a bath. When asked her name she could make no reply that could be understood. But as she was in Altoona once before and had left her name with the police authorities it was learned she called herself the name mentioned above. She died of her injuries at 10.45 a.m. The physician who attended her thinks she was about 35 years of age. The remains were placed in charge of the county undertaker for interment.
