Jeanne Wagner, 84, of Bald Eagle died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Tyrone Hospital. She was born August 25, 1922 in Altoona, a daughter of Arthur Warren and Ida Pauline (Over) Stoke. On October 26, 1942 in Cumberland, Maryland she married Fred E. Wagner. He died September 10, 1994. Surviving is a sister, Beverly Pascal of Tyrone, a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Crain of Port Matilda and a brother-in-law Richard Joel Wagner of Mohave, Arizona. She was preceded in death by a sister, A. Pauline Stoke. She was a member of the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church where she belonged and later taught the J.O.Y. Sunday school class and also was a member of the choir. She received her RN from the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing in 1944 and did private duty nursing for several years. She and her husband were owner/operators of Wagner Nursery, Bald Eagle for many years. Jeanne enjoyed the outdoors and working with her flowers and yard. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Bald Eagle United Methodist Church with Rev. Michele Somerville officiating. Interment will follow at Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial gifts may be made to the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church or to the Bald Eagle Fire Company.
