Wagner, wife of A. G. Wagner, of Piney Creek, died at twenty minutes of 12 o'clock on Thursday night after a lingering illness. For four or five months back Mrs. Wagner had been in vary poor health and for the last six weeks had been considered in a very critical condition, till about ten days before death, she rallied and it was thought was on a fair way for recovery. But on Thursday morning she took a sudden relapse which ended her suffering in less that twenty-four hours. All through her suffering she was very patient, and while she loved life and had prospects of a bight and happy future before her, when she realized that the end was near she peacefully submitted to the will of the Master. Mrs. Wagner was a very devoted woman to her husband, relatives and friends, and also to the duties of her household. She was gentle in her manners, pleasant in her conversation and loved to all who knew her. Before her death she was baptized in the faith and became a full member of the Lutheran church. Beside a kind and devoted husband, she leaves to mourn their loss a father and mother, who are Mr. and Mrs. Shuman, and several brothers and sisters. Deceased was born March 3, 1860, and died January 15, 1891, aged 39 years, 10 months and 12 days. Rev. Sheeder conducted the funeral services, which were held in the Methodist Episcopal church at Royer on Saturday, and preached a very interesting and impressive sermon from the words found in the tenth verse of the ninth chapter of Ecclesiastes, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Royer. The bereaved have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday, January 21, 1891
