CHARLES FRANCIS WAHL

One of Altoona's most highly respected citizens died yesterday
afternoon at 3:35 o'clock at 1733 Twentieth Avenue, death being caused
by diabetes.  He was a son of Joseph F. and Magdalene Wahl and was
born  March 20, 1874 at East Brady, Pa.  He is survived by his wife,
Jane  Brandt Wahl, a daughter, Madeline C.; his parents and the
following  sister and brothers:  Josephine A., Edward, Richard and
George.  He was  a faithful member of St. John's Catholic Church.  He
was a member of  the Young Men's Institute, the PRR Relief and Altoona
aerie No. 286  Fraternal Order of Eagles.  Funeral services will be
held on Friday  morning with solemn high mass at St. John's pro-
Cathedral at 9:45  o'clock.  Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
