Died From Consumption at Her Home on West Washington Avenue. Mrs. Catharine Hyskell Waite, wife of George C. Waite, died at the family home on West Washington avenue, Tyrone, at 6 o'clock this morning from consumption, from which she had been a sufferer the past four years. Born October 10, 1859, she would have been forty years old had she lived three days longer. Deceased was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Hyskell, and was born at the Hyskell home near Warriorsmark, where her fater died about a year ago. On the 28th of February, 1889, she was married to George C. Waite. In the spring of 1890, they came to Tyrone and have made their home here since that time. Besides her husband two children survive, viz: Myra E., aged 7 years, and Eugene H., aged 4 years. Her mother, Mrs. Mary Hyskell, also survives and resides at Warriorsmark, and these brothers and sisters are living: Alan W. Hyskell, of Pittsburg; Dr. E. D. Hyskell, of Madera; Mrs. George G. Hutchinson and Mrs. Mary Cunningham, of Warriorsmark. Deceased was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church of Tyrone and when in good health was active in auxiliary work as a member of the Mystic circle, a ladies' organization connected with the church. She was a true Christian woman, an affectionate wife and mother, and possessed the qualities which go to make a true woman as a neighbor and friend. The funeral will be held Monday morning. Services at the Washington avenue home at 9.30 o'clock, by Rev. W. M. Frysinger, D.D. Interment to follow at the Warriorsmark cemetery. The Tyrone Daily Herald, Saturday, October 7, 1899
