HAROLD N. WAITE

Mr. Waite, 82, of 436 Cedar Blvd., Hollidaysburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 
6, 1985, in his home, after a heart attack. Mr. Waite retired as 
Altoona branch manager of General Motors Acceptance Corp. in 1962, 
after 38 years' service. He was born Jan. 31, 1903, in Plymouth, the 
son of Charles B. and Olive Ann (Parrish) Waite, and in May 1928, 
married Eleanor H. Harvard, who died Oct. 29, 1976. Surviving are two 
children: Mary Ellen Criste of Baltimore, Md., and Charlotte Criste of 
Hampton, Va.; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also 
surviving are two brothers: Donald of Harrisburg and Charles of 
Schaefferstown. Mr. Waite was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, 
Hollidaysburg, and Hollidaysburg Rotary Club and a volunteer for Meals 
on Wheels. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday 
in the Plank & Stitt Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg.

WAITE - Services for Harold N. Waite of 436 Cedar Blvd., Hollidaysburg, 
will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Plank & Stitt Funeral Home Inc., 
Hollidaysburg, by the Rev. Gary A. Forsberg. Interment will be private 
at the convenience of the family in the Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 
Lebanon, Pa. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. 
Friday in the funeral home. A daughter, Alice Sanders of Vienna, Va., 
died in May 1979.
