WAITE Well known train director at Harrisburg for the Pennsylvania railroad and a resident of Mechanicsburg, died suddenly last Friday at the Polyclinic hospital in Harrisburg, death being attributed to influenza. He was the son of the late Thomas and Louise McQuillan Waite and was born in Ironsville on Feb. 20, 1874. He was associated with the railroad company for the past forty years and was a resident of Harrisburg and Mechanicsburg the past thirty-two years. He is survived by his wife, and one daughter, Mrs. Treva Mowry, widow of Frederick Mowry of Tyrone, and one son, Horace L. Waite. He is also survived by one brother, R. Clarence Waite of Shippen street, Tyrone. Mr. Waite was a member of the Presbyterian church at Mechanicsburg, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the P.R.R. Relief association. Funeral services were conducted at the Mechanicsburg home Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. Fulton. Interment was made at Mechanicsburg.
