Mrs. Isabella Waite Died at Her Home on West Washington Avenue. Mrs. Isabella Waite, widow of the late John G. Waite, died at her home, 866 West Washington avenue, at 12 o'clock today from nervous prostration, super-induced by stomach trouble, from which she had been a sufferer for a number of months. Deceased was the daughter of David and Margaret Henderson, both now deceased. She was born near Franklinville, Huntingdon county, on the 7th of April, 1826, and was aged 74 years, 4 months and 24 days at death. She was married to John G. Waite at the family homestead near Spruce Creek, on the 27th of March, 1851, and thereafter resided in Eden Valley until 1860, when Mr. Waite became the owner and settled on the farm in Warriorsmark township now occupied by F. L. Peck and family. They moved to Tyrone in July, 1885, and this has been the family home since that time. Mr. Waite died in November, 1891. Three daughters of the deceased survive viz: Mrs. F. L. Mrs. Isabella Henderson Waite was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church from girlhood, her name being on the church roll for full half a century. In Tyrone she was connected with the First church. She was an earnest christian woman, whose life was consistent with her religious professions. As a wife and mother she was kind and devoted, ever watchful and always interested in the comfort and welfare of those for whom she was responsible as the head of a happy household. As a neighbor and friend she was kind, charitable and always helpful where her services were needed. A good and true woman in every sense, she lived to a ripe age, and has finally gone to reap the reward of a faithful servant of the Supreme Master. The funeral will be held Monday.
