MRS. MARY J. WAITE.

  Mrs. Mary J. Waite, wife of David J. Waite, of 1608 Eighth avenue, died 
suddenly at the summer home of the family near Burns' Crossing, at 6:30 o'clock 
yesterday morning.  She had been ailing but a few days.  Deceased's maiden name 
was Oswald and she was born in Huntingdon county on February 19, 1851.  She was 
a member of the First United Brethren church and was esteemed by those who 
shared her acquaintance.  She was married on November 10, 1868 to Mr. Waite who 
survives with three children, Mrs. William B. Ford, Mrs. J. H. Burns and Miss 
Carrie, all of this city.  She is also survived by one brother, Harrison Oswald, 
of Huntingdon.  The funeral will take place from the Waite home, 1608 Eighth 
avenue, at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, services to be conducted at the house.  
Friends are requested to omit flowers.
