WAITE Frank P. Waite, 216 East Tenth Street, lifelong resident of this vicinity, died last night at 9 o'clock following an illness of two months. He was born Aug. 8, 1862 in Eden Valley, the son of Daniel and Elizabeth Henderson Waite. Sept. 19, 1901 at Tyrone, he married Vina Crawford, who died in 1940. Surviving are two sons, Maurice Waite, of Eden Valley, and Robert H. Waite of Ridgewood, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Rider, of Tyrone, and Mrs. Alma Fisher, Salina, Kans.; and four grandchildren. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church, and had been an elder in that church for many years. He was a farmer and later engaged in the farm machinery business at Tyrone, retiring a number of years ago. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Graham & Getz funeral home in charge of the Rev. Dr. Robert L. Hutchinson. Burial will be made in the Birmingham cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening. _____ RONALD E. WAITE Crash kills ex-area Farmer A former Tyrone RD 1 dairy farmer died Monday afternoon as a result of injuries suffered in a traffic accident earlier in the day in Beaufort, S.C. Ronald E. Waite, 55, of Beaufort, was pronounced dead at Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, by Beaufort County Coroner Curt Copeland. Waite died of internal injuries and cardiac trauma, Copeland said. Beaufort police said Waite 's 1987 Isuzu pickup truck ran off the road and hit a tree at 11:30 a.m. The impact caused Waite's head to strike the windshield. He was not wearing a seat belt. Waite was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to the Charleston facility where he died at 2:44 p.m. Mr. Waite retired as a diary farmer in the Eden Hill, Tyrone RD 1, area in 1985. He was born July 18, 1937, in Altoona, the son of Maurice and Isabel [Stevens] Waite. He married Patricia Tish O'Rouke on Aug. 11, 1961, in Curwensville. Surviving are his wife, three children: Andrew of Columbus, Ohio, Ronald Eric, serving with the Marine Corps in California, and Rae Elizabeth of Beaufort; and a granddaughter. Also surviving are his mother of Tyrone and a brother, John D. of Endicott, N.Y. Mr. Waite was a member of Juniata VFW, Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Volunteer Fire Company, Tyrone, and Tyrone Elks. He was a Marine Corps veteran serving from 1956 to 1961, attaining the rank of corporal E-4. He served one year in Vietnam. Friends will be received form 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Bruce E. Cox Funeral Home, Warriors Mark, by the Rev. Warren. S. Layton. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home, where an Elks memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday.
