Peter Waite Loses His Life by an Accident Sunday Morning. An accident occurred at Pittsburg yesterday morning which resulted in the death of Peter Waite, a former resident of Tyrone. He was employed as engineer of a dinkey engine by a steel manufacturing company of Pittsburg, and in some way very early yesterday morning he was caught and squeezed so as to cause a rupture of the bowels. He lived only about forty minutes after the accident happened. The remains were brought to Tyrone today on day express and taken to the home of John Sass in East Tyrone, the wife and children of the deceased coming here yesterday evening. The funeral will occur Thursday afternoon. Services at the Columbia Avenue M. E. church at 2 o'clock, by Rev. Jos. D. W. Deavor. Interment at Tyrone cemetery. Peter Waite was the son of William and Hannah Waite. His father died here about fifteen years ago. his mother survives and lives at Northwood. Some years ago he was married to Miss Augusta Sass. Besides his wife these children survive: John, Carrie and Paul aged 10, 9 and 5 years respectively. Three brothers and one sister also survive, viz: David, William and Millard, all living at Northwood, and Mrs. Annie Stall, living at Philadelphia. Deceased was born in Tyrone August 18, 1859, and at death was 39 years, 7 months and 22 days old. He lived in this vicinity all his life until last fall when he removed to Pittsburg. He was a member of the M. E. church, Good Will Council, No. 42, Jr. O. U. A. M., Tyrone Commandery No. 239, A. O. K. of M., of Tyrone.
