Waite, Whose Bicycle Ran Into a Stone Wall, Dies at the Altoona Hospital LeRoy Ellsworth Waite, a school boy aged 8 years, residing at 113 West Fourteenth street, Tyrone, died at the Altoona hospital at 8 o'clock last evening of a fractured skull, sustained on Sunday afternoon, when the bicycle he was riding crashed into a stone wall. The boy was admitted into [sic] an unconscious condition to the institution at 6:40 o'clock last evening and never regained consciousness. It was at first thought that he had suffered only a bad bump to the head and for this reason he was not taken to the hospital until he became seriously ill and lapsed into unconsciousness. The remains of the late Roy Ellsworth Waite, whose death was announced in yesterday's issue, was brought to Tyrone and taken to the home of his parents, Elmer and Carrie (Read) Waite, 114 West Fourteenth street. The little lad was born in Tyrone about eight years ago. Surviving to mourn his death are the parents and one brother, Virgil. Funeral services will be held at the late home on Thursday afternoon at 3.30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. E. J. Sawyer, pastor of the United Brethren church. Interment in Grand View cemetery.
