Walk, 55, of 104 E. 14th St., Tyrone, died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at 12:45 p.m. at Moran's Nursing Home, Bellwood following a brief illness. He was born March 29, 1951 at Akron, OH, the son of Hayden R. and Dora McFalls Walk. On February 23, 1974 at Osceola Mills, he was married to Victoria D. Vallery who preceded him in death. He is survived by two sons: Raymond Scott Walk of Altoona and Brian L. Walk of Tyrone and two grandchildren: Elyssa Victoria Lee Walk and Dylan Patrick Walk, both of Altoona. Mr. Walk is also survived by two sisters: Connie Shaffer and Denise, wife of Jerry Crispell, both of Tyrone and a brother Michael and wife Mary Walk of Akron, PA and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Shawn Walk. He was retired on disability from Conrail as a painter. He was a graduate of Tyrone High School, class of 1970, and was a member of Anderson Denny Post No. 4559 VFW and the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company. He enjoyed shooting pool with his friends and was a member of a pool league at the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company. Funeral service for Raymond Walk will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at 3 p.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home with Reverend Vance Clark, Rector Emeritus of Trinity Episcopal Church officiating. Private interment will be made at the convenience of the family in Blair Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. Tyrone Daily Herald, May 1, 2006
