Yesterday morning Rev. J. Walker, pastor of the United Brethren Church at East Conemaugh, Cambria county, and for a number of years pastor of the Altoona church, died at his home in East Conemaugh. For about a year past he had been afflicted with an asthmatic complaint, and to this is ascribed in a great measure his taking off. Deceased was born in England but came to this country when quite young. About twenty-five years ago he was ordained to the ministry, and filled the pulpits of several churches in Western Pennsylvania in the interim. Rev. Walker was aged about 45 years, and leaves a wife and three children - two of the latter being married. He was a sincere, unassuming Christian, and a man without guile. His remains will be taken to Tyrone on Saturday forenoon for interment in the cemetery there.
