Pastor Walker was pastor of Providence Bible Church, Everett, for the past two and a half years. He retired as a molder from the Brass Foundry of the Pennsylvania Railroad, South Altoona, with 36 years' service. He was also a former teacher at the Altoona Bible Institute, former pastor of the Northwood Baptist Chapel, Tyrone, for 25 years; former assistant pastor of the New Life Center, Philipsburg, for five and a half years, a teacher and administrator of the Baptist Bible Youth Camp, Camp Kanesatake, Huntingdon Furnace; and was a former camp director at Camp Manahath, Williamsburg. He was born July 21, 1916, in Altoona, the son of H. Wayne and Martha G. (Hiltner) Walker, and Nov. 11, 1939, in Altoona, married Phyllis M. Parsons. Surviving are his wife, four daughters: Judith Bonawitch of Delran, N.J.; Ruth Kozak of Palmyra, N.J.; Linda Greene of Altoona and Deborah Sprankle of Tyrone, and seven grandchildren. Pastor Walker was a member of the Tipton Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the Altoona Bible Institute. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Tipton Baptist Church. WALKER - Services for Pastor Wayne Walker of Box 86, Tipton, Tyrone RD 5, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tipton Baptist Church, by Pastor Paul V. Sweitzer. Interment at Alto-Reste Park. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, and 10 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the church.
