The deceased was buried in Hollidaysburg, on Sunday last, and was a former resident of this city, where she leaves a large circle of friends and acquaintances to mourn their loss. She was a fond and loving wife, and a kind and affectionate mother, leaving four children to mourn her departure, we trust, to a far better and happier land. The husband, in this the hour of his greatest affliction, has the sympathy of the community, as also, the four little ones who have been so early in life bereft of maternal instruction. The latter have sustained an irreparable loss, but [are] as yet too young to realize it. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., February 15, 1871, page 3
