Walls, of Gaysport, aged 9 years, whose mother was buried on Wednesday, died at the Nason hospital, Roaring Spring, at 6 o'clock last night of influenza, and two of his sisters are confined to their beds in a very critical condition, suffering from the same disease. He was a son of James and Nellie (deceased) Walls. Mrs. Nellie M. Walls, of Gaysport, mother of the boy, died early this week, of influenza, and the funeral services were held on Wednesday. At the time of the services Walter and two sisters were critically ill from the flu. Walter became much worse and died last night, and his sisters have shown but a slight improvement. Besides his father, the boy is survived [by] one brother and three sisters. The body has been taken to the undertaking parlors of William A. Van Allman, Hollidaysburg, from which place funeral services will be held at a time to be announced later. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Friday Morning, December 6, 1918
