He was born at Duncansville RD on March 7, 1973, a son of Thomas and Mary (Walls) Walters, and on June 19, 1912, in Cumberland, Md., married Sarah Clapper. Surviving are his wife, seven children, Mrs. Gladys Kirkham, Ms. Naomi Young, Mrs. Myla Helsel, Fred R. and Wilford L. of Duncansville, Dean A. of Baker Summit and Miss Elda Mae at home; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three sisters and a brother, Mrs. Mary Brutka, Mrs. Edna Boop, Mrs. Martha Drennen and Thomas of Gerard, Ohio. Mr. Walters retired in 1958 from the Pennsylvania Railroad with 44 years service. He was a charter member of the Roaring Spring Fire Co. and a member of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren. Friends will be received in the Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, from 2 to 4 today, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
