John Walton, a crippled soldier, died in Mudtown on Saturday. He was a pensioner and had been sick for a long time. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his demise. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon, and a squad of the members of the Grand Army of the Republic were in attendance.
