He was born in Scotland, Jan. 30, 1869. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Martha (Jones) Ward, three daughters and one son, Mrs. Blair McCracken and Mrs. Charles May of this city, Miss Martha Ward, a nurse at the Graystone Park, N.J., hospital and James C. Ward at home. Two grandsons and two brothers, Alexander and John Ward, in Scotland, also survive. He was a member of the Glen Richey Presbyterian church, of the Knights of Pythias lodge at Glen Richey, of Noble lodge, F. & A.M., and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon at Curwensville. Funeral services will be held at the late home at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon with Rev. J. O. C. McCracken of Juniata and Rev. George E. Johnson of the Fairview Methodist church officiating.
