WASHINGTON Of 1808 1/2 Twentieth avenue, died at Mercy hospital at 12.55 o'clock yesterday afternoon after an extended illness. He was born at Connellsville Aug. 7, 1885, and was a barber by trade, conducting his shop for many years on Twenty-ninth street near Maple avenue. His wife, Mrs. Mary (Molson) Washington, died in 1920?. Surviving are four children, Mrs. John Day of Huntingdon, Carl E. Washington and Miss Ethel of Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren, one sister, Clara Washington of Connellsville, and a sister- in-law, Mrs. Irene Williams of the city. Mr. Washington was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. church and superintendent of the church Sunday school. He was a past exalted ruler of Arandale lodge 184, Elks, a worthy patron of the Order of Eastern Star, a member of Purity lodge 41, F. and A.M., of Purity chapter 24, Mountain consistory 55 and Alto commandery 16 and of the Shrine of Pittsburg. Friends will be received at the Laughlin funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening. WASHINGTON - Funeral services for Frank K. Washington of 1808 1/2 Twentieth avenue will be held at 3.30 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Laughlin funeral home by Rev. George K. Bryant. Interment in Oak Ridge cemetery.
